The room was pet-friendly and well-maintained and equipped with bathroom, complimentary chocolates, a double bed. The breakfast of the hotel restaurant was extensive for continental option. The location was particularly good and beautiful, close to town amenities...

Regarding price, think it's good value for Harrogate. Clean and stylish place, has lovely views over gardens. The breakfast is plentiful, the staff are decent. Offers airy and compact rooms with old fashioned design. The location is magnificent, in a quiet area.

The charm of the hotel is undeniable, especially the stylish lounge-bar and lovely gardens. Everything felt well-organized, and it was so nice compared to our previous visit to harrogate.

I have stayed in many hotels around the world and have not come across a 'handling surcharge' for settling the account with a credit card. To be told there is an additional fee after your stay has been confirmed at an agreed internet rate, has put me off staying here again. It was only a nominal charge but why not include it in the price? Then the customer doesn't feel that they're being fleeced for extra cash when they leave.

The ambience is very friendly and comfortable. It is well presented and decor is good. It is a very restful hotel and well situated.

Ideal breakfast for the start of the day. Large room with bedroom as well as robes.

Beautiful rooms on the ground floor, great location. Agatha Christie hid here for two weeks - that's what they like to think about there ;) My first room was very small and stuffy - without tub (not as booked). But the ladies at the reception did their best for me and after two nights I was able to get a bigger room. That was a great fit, too. The bathroom was very spacious, new and with tub.

The first room was a catastrophe and the staff wasn't friendly.

The hotel was beautiful and full of character and charm. I loved the Agatha Christie history.

The breakfast menu didn't match what was available, there was a full selection of hot food including kippers but there were bakery goods missing. While there were plenty of waiting staff, our orders were slow to be taken and the tables were not cleared after people had left. AT one stage we were surrounded by at least 10 tables waiting to be cleared.
